The Pajaro Valley Health Care District Hospital Corporation was created on May 11, 2022, for the specific purpose to (1) aid, assist, and act on behalf of the Pajaro Valley Health Care District, a political subdivision of the state of California, in the performance of its essential government function of operating Watsonville Community Hospital and other related ancillary services and outpatient clinics; (2) promote the health and welfare of the general public, particularly those individuals residing in the Pajaro Valley community; (3) engage in any other activities in furtherance of the purposes for which the Corporation is formed; and (4) receive, invest and utilize funds, property and in-kind materials or service acquired through the solicitation of contributions, donations, grants, gifts, and bequests and the like for the purposes for which the Corporation was formed.
